“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear,” (1 John 4:18a NIV).
That sounds like an absolute statement- “There is no fear in love.” And it is! And God’s Word is true; so if there’s any fear in my life, I must find out where it’s coming from.
There are different fears that people have- some of which might actually be reasonable and legitimate. Some of the most common ones are; the fears of- punishment, rejection, failure, the unknown, evil, sicknesses, diseases and death.
The love of God is the antidote to all fears! That love will help us overcome all our fears, and to start living fear-free. Imagine your life, for instance, without the fear of failing?
In this teaching, we will be looking at- the remote and immediate causes of fear; the symptoms and effects of fear; and how God’s love frees us from all fears.
